What was the lightbulb moment that led to creating abillion?

The lightbulb moment when our founder Vikas put it all on the line to start abillion was in the aftermath of the 2016 US Presidential election. It was a watershed moment that revealed the extent that social media platforms like Facebook and Twitter were being mobilized against people, and Vikas started to ask whether it was possible to design algorithms and data to turn people into “daily active users” for doing good for the world.

What is abillion’s mission and vision?

Our mission and vision is to build a world where a billion people are vegan. Achieving this would solve our generation’s biggest sustainability challenges.
