Kraft Sports + Entertainment

To help address the New England Patriots’ carbon emissions associated with team travel during the 2021 and 2022 NFL seasons, Kraft Sports + Entertainment planted over 24,000 trees across the six New England states by supporting several large-scale reforestation projects and Earth Day 2022 tree-planting events.

For every goal Juventus scores, the team plants 100 trees in projects across the world.

The action of each goal won’t just end on the pitch, as the club makes a new commitment to the environment, to make the world a better place. An ambitious and precious project, which scored over 45,000 trees in the last two seasons.

Major League Baseball™

Major League Baseball planted 5,000 trees in a California post-wildfire restoration project for the home runs hit in the 2022 MLB Home Run Derby.

Major League Soccer

Building on the success of Major League Soccer's 2021 campaign that planted 27,000 trees in projects across North America, the league planted an additional 28,000 trees in the US and Canada in 2022 - 1,000 trees for each of Major League Soccer's 28 teams.

The Miami HEAT hosted its 12th annual HEAT Beach Sweep, presented by Amerant Bank, at Oleta River State Park in North Miami Beach. As part of NBA Green, the HEAT planted 30 native trees to help restore the park’s Gilligan’s Trail, a popular bike and hiking trail.

Pitch In For the Planet

ATLANTA BRAVES™ 

The Atlanta Braves™ are Pitching in for the Planet by creating 20 community orchards across metro Atlanta. 

These neighborhood based orchards will increase access to fresh, healthy food for urban residents while expanding tree canopy and promoting environmental sustainability.

Oakland Athletics™ and Tony Kemp

A’s player Tony Kemp joined volunteers to plant 50 mature trees along the MLK Regional Shoreline in Oakland in September 2022.

LA Kings

In celebration of California Clean Air Day in 2022, LA Kings employees planted trees in Lynwood, CA as part of the team's ongoing efforts to promote the responsible use of natural resources and advance sustainable practices.

Trees for Goals

Philadelphia Union

As part of their Greener Goals Initiatives, Philadelphia Union partnered with Subaru of America to plant 25 mature trees at Eyre Park in Chester, PA in April 2022. The partnership also planted 25 trees in a Pennsylvania reforestation project for each Union goal scored during the season.

LA Giltinis

The Giltinis rugby team planted a tree in a post-wildfire recovery reforestation project in California for each point scored during the 2022 season, and participated in a tree planting ceremony at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum.

Milwaukee BrewerS™

The Brewers™ participated in a fruit tree planting event at Victory Gardens Urban Farm in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Brent Suter, Devin Williams, first-base coach Quintin Berry, and Washington Nationals™ player Nelson Cruz Jr. were among some of the players to join in to plant trees!

Break A Stick, Plant a Tree

San Jose Sharks

The San Jose Sharks have taken on sustainability in a fun way! 100 trees were planted for each broken stick by the Sharks in 2021-22 for a total of 15,125 trees.

The San Jose Sharks also held a tree planting event in April 2022 to engage their staff and community by getting their hands in the dirt!

For the second year in a row, Euroleague Basketball is teaming up with its fanbase and partners to plant trees in the Amazon Rainforest in celebration of Earth Month!

Reforesting the Amazon and Spain

Hector Bellerin

Former Arsenal player Hector Bellerin committed to planting 3,000 trees in either the Amazon Rainforest or Spain for each team win during portions of the 2020 and 2021 Premier League seasons. With the support of a fundraising campaign, over 75,000 trees were planted.

One Player = One Tree Restored

The USTA and The US Open

The US Tennis Association planted a tree in post-wildfire restoration projects in California for each athlete who participated in the 2021 and 2022 editions of the US Open.

ONE MESSAGE FOR THE FUTURE = ONE TREE PLANTED

Nitto Denko Corporation

At the partner booth of the 2022 Nitto ATP Finals in Turin, Italy, a ‘Future Wish Tree' was featured where visitors wrote their wishes for the future on leaf-shaped cards, which then decorated the tree throughout the event.

With this activity, Nitto, the title partner of the Nitto ATP Finals, donated to plant 1,000 trees in Vietnam and helped address the carbon emissions.
